Privacy policy
Last updated September 2026
Stowpocket is operated by VESS Technology Services LLC. This policy explains what we collect and why. Short version: as little as possible, never sold, and you can leave any time.
What we collect
- Alert emails. If you sign up for price-drop alerts, we store your email address, your consent timestamp, and your alert preferences. Signup is double opt-in — we email you a confirmation link first, and nothing is stored as active until you click it.
- Account info. If you sign in (to comment, for example), we store the identifier from your sign-in provider (Google, Facebook, or email link) and nothing else from your account.
- Click data. When you follow a deal link, we log an anonymized record (hashed IP address, referrer, user agent, and the deal clicked) so we can tell which deals are useful. We do not build browsing profiles.
- Votes and comments. Stored so the community can see them; tied to your account or an anonymous session key, your choice.
What we never do
- We never sell personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- We never run third-party ad trackers on deal pages.
- We never email you anything you didn't ask for.
Unsubscribe and deletion
Every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link — no sign-in required. To delete your account data entirely, contact us via the contact page and we'll remove it.
Cookies
We use strictly functional storage: sign-in session tokens and an anonymous voting key so you can't vote twice. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, for alert subscribers, note it in an email. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
